Di Lorriman
Watercolour Artist, Illustrator and Cartoonist
Di Lorriman is both an artist and an illustrator.
As an artist Di exhibits as a Fellow of the Nottingham Society of Artists, with the Leicester Sketch Club
and at other exhibitions in the Midlands. Di's paintings reflect her careful observation, and intricate pen-work
is often added giving a strong linear quality to her work.
Di is a qualified teacher and runs watercolour courses in the Midlands. She also runs residential holidays in watercolour
and in cartooning at Knuston Hall Adult Residential College in Northamptonshire. Please visit the
Knuston Hall Website
for details.
As an illustrator, Di's often humorous illustrations appear in a variety of publications for both children and adults.
Di is involved with a project run by Scope called 'In The Picture'. This project aims to promote the inclusion of disabled
children in early years picture books and stories. In connection with this, Di's illustration work will be exhibited at
several galleries and libraries in London throughout 2009. Please visit the Children in the Picture
Website for more details and to see some of Di's inclusive images.
